Sad News . . .

Florida State Representative David Coley, 43, died Friday (March 25) at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital. He was elected to office in November and announced in December that he had been diagnosed with a form of liver cancer just two days before Christmas. At that time he expressed high hopes of winning his battle to defeat the adversary. He underwent surgery and began a series of radiation therapy.
 
He lived most of his life in Jackson County and had worked long and hard to serve others. Coley represented District 7, which includes Calhoun, Liberty, parts of Jackson, Bay, Gadsden, Leon, Okaloosa, Wakulla,and Walton counties.
 
Representative Coley is survived by his wife Marti and three children. He lived most of his life in Jackson county.
