Fourth Annual PA Foundation Golf Tournament
The FAPA Foundation is pleased to announce the scheduling of the Fourth Annual
PA Foundation Golf Tournament, The Parvin Memorial. It is held to benefit the
fight against leukemia in memory of Ben Parvin, PA-C, FAPA President who was a
victim of acute leukemia in 1999 while he was President of FAPA. Funds raised
during this event go to the FAPA Physician Assistant Foundation which is the charity
arm of the Florida Academy, and a portion of those funds raised will be donated to the Leukemia
Association in Melbourne, Florida where Ben lived and practiced his art of medicine.
The Tournament will be held in conjunction with the 2002 FAPA Summer Clinical Symposium to
be held at the Marco Island Marriot Hotel and Resort, Marco Island, Florida. The dates of
the conference are August 7-11, 2002. Look for more information about the Conference on
the website at a later date.
The Parvin Memorial will be held on Saturday, August 11 on the Mustang Course at the
at the Lely Resort Golf Club. This is the Fourth Annual Tournament held to benefit the
FAPA Foundation, and it was renamed in Ben's honor in August 2000. Each successive year has
seen the Tournament grow in number of participants and amount of funds raised. You can read

For those who wish to participate in the Tournament, just download and print the Registration
Form below and submit to the office. You do not need to have a foursome to register and you
do not need a golf handicap. The staff will assign you to a foursome if you so desire. This is
a Four Person Best Ball Scramble and is limited to the first 72 players.
