PA Preceptor Program

Welcome to the Florida Academy of Physician Assistants (FAPA) PA Student Preceptor webpage! The Faculty Relations Committee of FAPA works to strengthen the bond between each PA program and FAPA while promoting PA student education and professional development. We thank you for your interest in becoming a PA student preceptor at a time when there are increasingly limited clinical rotation sites.
 
PA students are motivated, enthusiastic, intelligent and eager to learn. As a preceptor, you have the chance to tremendously influence a PA student’s life. I am sure in remembering your PA or medical school experiences you have a special instructor that sticks out in your mind! But it is not only the student who benefits from this relationship. Preceptors are able to screen future potential employees, keep up to date on the latest technology and research, and ensure the next generation of medical providers is well educated. Often, PA programs offer benefits to their preceptors such as access to online library materials or adjunct faculty status.
 
When you submit your information to your choice of PA programs below, an e-mail will be sent to the Clinical Coordinator for each selected campus.  The Clinical Coordinator will then contact you with further information regarding their specific program.
