On behalf of the FAPA Northwest Region, we thank you for your outpouring of concern and readiness to help those impacted by Hurricane Michael.  


The affected area will need our help both now during the immediate aftermath and for the weeks and months to follow.  We thank you for your support!


A number of Bay Area hospitals were severely damaged in the hurricane and had to be evacuated. Their patients, as well as, residents of the skilled nursing facilities have been transferred to facilities across the panhandle.  If you are in the panhandle, please contact the local hospitals and skilled nursing facilities to find out if they need any direct support.


FAPA Members and Florida PAs across the state can also help:


Supply drives

Facilities can set up local collection sites for supplies.  Please keep in mind that you will need to coordinate the delivery of these items to the Bay Area.  Once collected, please contact Nicholas Dokianos, PA-C (email okaloosawaltonpas@gmail.comto confirm date and location for delivery. 


The items currently needed are: 

• nonperishable food

• baby supplies (diapers, formula/baby food, baby wipes)

• water

• plastic jugs for transporting gasoline

• tarps

• paper plates, plastic silverware

• Lysol wipes/cleaning supplies

• gloves
