Physicians for PA Continuing Education Course UPDATE

Monday, November 5, 2018   (0 Comments)

As a membership benefit, FAPA is partnering with Physicians for PA Continuing Education (PPACE) again in 2019. PPACE will be offering the 3 hour state-mandated controlled substance course to FAPA members (for free or at minimal cost) in early 2019 through an online platform.

The course is currently being updated and will be available to all Florida PAs. Florida PAs are mandated in statute to renew the course anytime before the next licensure renewal, which is Jan 31, 2020.

The course is expected to launch in Jan/Feb 2019, allowing Florida PAs plenty of time to take the course and remain complaint with Florida statutes. The CS course will not be offered at the FAPA winter or summer symposium, however the symposiums will offer the other required Florida courses: domestic violence and medical errors.

If you have any further questions about the Controlled Substance (CS) Course, please email: PPACEFlorida@gmail.com

For regulatory questions related to CS prescribing, please email: FAPA@fapaonline.org
