House Bill 851 Update

Wednesday, August 7, 2019
Posted by: Amanda Myers
  • HB 851 passed during the last legislative session and was signed into law by Governor DeSantis
  • This law affects all licensees governed under F.S. 458 and 459.  Therefore, this affects all Florida PAs.
  • All PAs will be required to complete one (1) hour CME on Human Trafficking by January 1, 2021.
  • The FAPA Education Committee is currently developing the one (1) hour CME and it will be made available on the FAPA website (fapaonline.org) in the very near future.
  • Please be sure to check out the new and improved CME section of our website for this upcoming new mandatory CME and the other mandatory and elective CMEs already available with your membership to FAPA.  Some of these are free of charge or at a reduced rate as a benefit of your FAPA membership.
